The Washington Area Soccer Program hosted staff from the Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise Chicago Fire at the Washington City fields on West 18th street Monday afternoon for a soccer skills clinic.

WASP player skill sections were divided into three age groups, 6-9-year-olds, 10-14-year-olds and 15 and up with coaches supervising. The coaching clinic focused on developing strategic practice sessions and methods to improve skills. The Chicago Fire holds these events across the Midwest to promote soccer in the region. In Iowa, the Fire Staff also held a clinic in Solon.
