Monday was a very cold and windy day as the Washington Demon girls took on the Mediapolis Bullettes.

The game was scoreless in the eighth minute when the Bullettes Mikeena Crews shot the ball and Demon goalie Olivia Pacha  made the original save. However, the rebound went right back to Crews and bounced off her leg to the open left side of the goal, here defensemen Taylor Brinning went running after the ball tripped, fell in front of the ball and used her hands to stop the ball from going in to the goal. She was called for using her hands to keep the ball from going into the goal an automatic red card. That left the Demons with only ten players for the rest of the game. This also gave the Bullettes a penalty shot. The penalty shot was taken by Crews who shot the ball to the middle of the goal, but Pacha was not fooled and stopped it. Pacha had 10 saves in the game.

After Brinning’s red card, the play became one sided. The Bullettes kept feeding the ball to Mackenzie Williamson-Springsteen who broke the scoreless tie in the 12th minute of the game with a shot that Pacha came out to challenge But Williamson-Springsteen put the ball over Pacha and into the net. Williamson -Springsteen and Crews kept the pressure on, they hit the post four times in the first half and Williamson- Springsteen added two more goals to make the score 3-0 Mediapolis at the half.

In the second half Williamson-Springsteen added another goal and an assist. The Bullettes had six other players score in the second half with the clinching goal in the 78th minute to end the game by the 10 goal mercy rule at 10 to 0.
