The Washington Demon boys soccer team lost 3-1 to Mount Pleasant on Monday at Washington High school.

The Demons fell behind early in the first half 1-0 and then it was a battle of the defenses for the rest of the half.

In the second half, the Demons tied the game at one with Walker Ikerd scoring the first varsity goal of his career. Ikerd dribbled the ball up the left side of the field when he shot the ball, putting it into the net. From there it was back and forth. Mount Pleasant took the lead in the 67-minute. The Demons cancelled any chance of a comeback when they accidently had an own goal to make it 3-1. Thomas Zimmer had 11 saves for the Demons.

Thursday any WASP, Washington Area Soccer Program, youth player who wears their jersey gets in free to support the Demons against Iowa City Liberty, the game is est to begin at 4:30 p.m. at Washington High School.
