The Washington Demon and Sigourney Savages Girls track team traveled to Eddyville-Blakesburg High School to compete in the Rocket Girls relays on Thursday.
The Demons finished second out of 11 teams in the overall team standings, with a score of 93 points. The Forest City Indians were the champions with 96 points.

Demon event champions were Hannah Anderson in the long jump with a jump of 15’7”, and the 4×200 relay team of Sophia Kleese, Isabel Bailey, Cierra Miller, and Ashley Telleen with a time of 1:56.24.
Other top finishes for the Demons were Anderson 2nd in the 100-meter dash. Brooke Stout in the 800-meter run, Telleen in the 400-meter hurdles, and the 4 x100 meter relay team of Leah Marek, Isabel Bailey, Jenah Greiner, and Hannah Anderson.

The Demons took third place with Hannah Anderson in the 200 and the 4×400 meter relay of Marek, Bailey, Brynn Beenblossom, and Ashley Telleen.

The Demons also had fourth place finishes in the 200 with Jenah Greiner, Claire Horak in the 3000-meter run, 4×800 meter relay team of Molly Sparks, Brook Stout, Allison Hippen, and Addison Six, and in the 800-sprint medley relay team of Demeri Bell, Cierra Miller, Leah Marek, and Jenah Greiner.

The Demons also had a fifth-place finish with shuttle hurdle relay team of, Bell, Michaela Hoffman, Kelli Dallmeyer, and Ashley Telleen.

The Sigourney Savages finished seventh with a score of 40 points. Autum Barthelman won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.62 seconds. Autum Barthelman also finished fourth in the 100 meters, and fifth in the 200. The shuttle hurdle relay team of Autum Barthelman, Leah Carter, Sloan Magill, and Summer Barthelman also won with the time of 1:10.03. Magill finished third in the shot put. Summer Barthelman finished fourth in the 400- meter hurdles and sixth in the long jump.

The Washington Demons next meet is at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant start time is 4:30 Monday.
