The Washington Demon golf team traveled to Cedarcrest Golf Course in Columbus Junction Friday, where they took on the Columbus Wildcats and the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks.


The Demons won the event with the score of 158. Brady Knutson was the meet medalist with a two-over par 37. Jacob Van Osdol and Brock Sobaski finished in a three-way tie for medalist runner-up with 39s. Mitchell Driscoll fired a 43. Dalton Meyers shot a 44, and Caleb Tanner shot a 48.

Mid-Prairie finished second on the team side with a season-low score of 165. Michael Callahan led Mid-Prairie, tying for medalist runner-up with a 39. Other scores for the Hawks included Noah Schlabaugh at 40. Colin Gingerich fired a 42. Ryan Slaubaugh with a 44, Monte Slabaugh with a 47, and Ryan Smit at 49.

The Columbus Wildcats did not post a team score. Leading the way for the Wildcats was Ryan Orr with a 45. Other scores for Columbus were Evan Reeves with a 49, and Tucker Bright shot a 50.
The Demons will travel to Oskaloosa Tuesday. The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will be at home on Monday against the Wilton Beavers. The Columbus Wildcats will travel to Winfield-Mt. Union on Wednesday.
