The Mid-Prairie girls track team put on a show for the home fans Tuesday at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman to headline a large contingency of area teams at the Golden Hawk Co-Ed Relays.

The Mid-Prairie girls won the team title with 205 points, Oskaloosa was second with 108 points. The Hawks had seven championships on the night led by a triple gold from Anna Hostetler who took the 800 in 2:19.09, the 1500 in 4:47.51 and the 3000 in 10:56.82. Abbagail Evans won the 100 in 12.94 seconds. The Mid-Prairie 4×800 team of Kate Cavanagh, Moriah Brase, Ana Fleming and Sarah Meader were winners in 10:51.34, the Golden Hawk distance medley team of Kessa Jones, Cassidy Rourke, Kate Cavanagh and Ana Fleming took the title in 4:46.09 and Tori Boyse won the shot put with a throw of 32’8.75″. Other top finishes for the Golden Hawks included Evans second in the 200 and 400, a runner-up for the 4×100 team of Maddie Edgington, Rourke, Amber Swart and Evans, second place for the 4×400 team of Jones, Kitty Conway, Meader and Cavanagh, second place for the sprint medley team of Kaitlyn Poock, Shelby Zahradnek, Sidney Davis and Conway and a runner-up for Tori Boyse in the discus. Swart was third in the 200 and long jump, Conway third in the 400, Jones third in the 400 hurdles, the 4×200 team of Meader, Jillian Owen, Jaselyn Robertson and Zebi Kimani was third, Kylee Kos third in the discus.

The Highland Huskies were third as a team with 84 points. The Huskies won four championships on the night with Emily Yahnke in the long jump at 16’11.50″, the 4×100 team of Sarah Schneider, Aly Stokes, Kristy Thomann and Yahnke in 51.87 seconds, the 4×200 team of Schneider, Stokes, Thomann and Yahnke in 1:53.60, the sprint medley team of Schneider, Thomann, Yahnke and Stokes in 1:57.76. Other top finishes for the Huskies included Bailey Harmston third in the 100m hurdles and high jump, Kaylee Roth third in the shot put, Kristy Thomann fourth in the 100, Madison Thomann fourth in the 800 and Taylor Sublette fifth in the 1500.

The Columbus girls were fourth of six teams with 60 points. Top finishes for the Wildcats included Angie Byas second in the long jump, a runner-up for the 4×200 team of Anna Hamilton, Olivia Carrier, Michelle Martinez and Byas, runner-up for the 4×800 team of Jenessa Carpenter, Destiny Langley, Odalyz Valdez and Hamilton, third place for Carpenter in the 800, third for the 4×400 team of Carpenter, Carrier, Valdez and Langley, third for the sprint medley team of Courtney Zaehringer, Emma Milder, Byas and Carrier and fourth for Hamilton in the 400 hurdles.

The Lone Tree girls finished fifth with 57 points. The Lions had one championship on the night as the shuttle hurdle team of Holley Johnson, Chloe Jacque, Skyler Smith and Emily Feldman took gold in 1:15.71. Other top finishes for Lone Tree included runner-up for the distance medley team of Johnson, Jacque, Macie Bopp and Natalie Patterson, third for the 4×100 team of Jacque, Johnson, Smith and Feldman, fourth for Zoie Simonsen in the 100 hurdles, fourth for Patterson in the 1500, fourth for Bopp in the 3000, fifth in the 800, fifth for Heather Geiger in the 400, and fifth for Sydney Alt in the 3000.

The Iowa Mennonite girls were sixth with 35 points. IMS had a pair of championships on the night with Suzanna Yoder winning the 200 in 27.33 seconds and the 400 in 1:02.18. Yoder also finished second in the 100.
