Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg toured CIVCO Medical Solutions in Kalona Friday.

Founded in 1981, CIVCO designs and manufactures products for radiology, regional anesthesia, vascular access, and men’s and women’s health among other purposes, primarily focusing on the use of ultrasound technology.

Reynolds said her visit was a chance to thank the company for investing in Iowa but to also get their feedback, “I don’t want to know just what’s working, I want to know what’s not working, because I need to hear directly from our job creators so that we can be a partner and help them continue to grow and expand. Not only what we can do in Iowa but what we can do with our partners in Washington, D.C. And one of the examples that they talked about was the regulatory environment, I mean it’s just crushing businesses. And so, we want to make sure that we can make those connections and see if there’s a possibility to start eliminating some of those barriers and I’m happy to do it.”

Reynolds adds that she has had great access to the White House administration and the cabinet and they are frequently asking for the state’s feedback. Reynolds was just in Washington, D.C., Thursday to discuss trade with President Donald Trump.
