Three KCII area boys golf teams make the trip to the Wahkonsa Golf Course in Durant today for the Durant Invitational.

The Mid-Prairie boys have had just one meet to this point in mid-April due to weather. The Golden Hawks fell to the West Branch Bears in a River Valley Conference dual at Cedar’s Edge 173-191. Noah Schlabaugh was meet co-medalist with a 41. Other scores that night for the Hawks included Ryan Slaubaugh at 47, Michael Callahan 49, Collin Gingerich 54, Monte Slabaugh 55 and Ryan Smit 57.

The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves were most recently in action Friday when they got by New London on the road 176-181 behind Caleb Hagge’s even par medalist round of 36. Other scores for WMU in the win included medalist runner-up Nolan Ross with a 38, Kash Rossiter with a 50 and a 51 from Graham Hagge.

The Columbus Wildcats have been on the course three times this season. The Wildcats are led by Ryan Orr and his nine hole average of 42. Other scores for Columbus include Evan Rees at 49, Tucker Bright at 51 and Ian Poehler at 65.

Joining the Golden Hawks, Wolves and Wildcats at Wahkonsa today are Durant, Louisa-Muscatine, North Cedar, Iowa City Regina, Solon, Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty and Wilton. Action begins at 12:30 and continues all day at the Wahkonsa Golf Course.
