The Highland boys and girls track teams get the chance to put on a show in front of the home fans Monday when they host their only home track meet of the season.

The Huskies are fresh off of Thursday’s Eckstrand Relays at WACO. The Highland boys had Zack Lasek take the discus title. Emily Yahnke won the long jump for the Highland girls.

Also attending Highland tonight will be the Mid-Prairie boys and girls. The Golden Hawk boys were last on the track Tuesday at Anamosa where they scored four titles including Terrhyn Jacoby in the 100, Peyton Miller in the 400 hurdles, Kyle Miller in the high jump and the 4×400 team of Grant Boyse, Cary Schaefer, Marshall Teets and Peyton Miller. The Mid-Prairie girls last ran at Center Point-Urbana Monday where they brought home two titles with Marie Hostetler winning the 800 and the distance medley team of Maddie Edgington, Amber Swart and Anna and Marie Hostetler winning gold.

Lone Tree will also be at Highland tonight. the Lion boys team took the title at the Eckstrand Relays at WACO Thursday. The Lions had four titles on the night with Brock Smith taking the 800, Brady Dauber the long jump, Casey Shalla the shot put and the team of Brady Dauber, Harmon Miller, Keegan Edwards and Brock Smith winning the 4×800. The Lone Tree girls scored one title at WACO Thursday with the 4×800 team of Sydney Alt, Macie Bopp, Natalie Patterson and Maddie Jacque winning gold.

The WACO Warrior boys and girls will also be on the track Monday at Highland. The Warriors were last in action during their home Eckstrand Relays Thursday. The Warrior boys won three titles last time out with Elijah McGohan taking the 400, and Colton Horak the 110 and 400 hurdles. The WACO girls had one title Thursday with shuttle hurdle team of Molly McLaughlin, Grace Conwell, Laney Graber and Kiana Miller getting gold.

Action begins Monday at 4:30 at Highland High School.
