Financial literacy and entrepreneurship are two areas that are featured in Junior Achievement curriculum which is being honored in Washington Thursday.

In his first proclamation as mayor Jaron Rosien declared April 5th as Junior Achievement Day. He shares that he has been a volunteer with the program in the past and hopes to do so again in the future, “Junior Achievement is an excellent program in our schools that is a volunteer-driven program that is basically about connecting the real world to the classroom, and connecting students to knowledge and information that will help be keys to their success later in life.” Junior Achievement has area business, industry, and non-profit leaders meet with middle school and high school students.
