Unemployment rates fell across the KCII listening area from February to March of this year.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Washington County’s unemployment rate in February was 3.6% and in March it fell to 2.7%. That’s a difference of 400 people being unemployed in the county in February dropping to 300 in March. In March of 2017 Washington County’s unemployment rate was 3.3%. Overall for the State of Iowa unemployment went from 2.9% in February to 2.8% in March.
