Man Falls from Tree Stand, Airlifted by Helicopter

A Burlington man fell from a tree stand in rural Henry County Tuesday.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at about 1:22 p.m. 37-year-old Brandon Loring called 911 to request medical assistance after he had fallen from a tree stand in the 1200 grid of Agency Road, about four miles west of Salem. Loring was transported by a Medforce helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of injuries. The incident remains under investigation. Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Salem Fire and Rescue, and Henry County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
