Strong winds swept across the KCII listening area Tuesday overnight into Wednesday morning and temperatures dipped to record lows.

Wind speeds were above 20 miles per hour from 6 p.m. through 6:35 a.m. The strongest wind gust recorded in Washington overnight was 34 miles per hour at 1:35 a.m. According to the National Weather Service, the record low temperature in Washington for April 4th is 16 degrees and thermometers read 16 degrees Wednesday morning to tie the record low.
