The Mid-Prairie School Board has decided on the future of Superintendent Mark Schneider.

With a 6-1 vote, the board approved a one-year contract extension for Schneider. The official vote of confidence was removed from the agenda for Monday night’s meeting. A public forum was held regarding Schneider’s decision made in 2015 to allow former registered sex offender Trent Yoder volunteer for the district, with another adult present when he is working with students.
