The Washington Demon and Winfield-Mt. Union boys golf teams competed Thursday and Friday at their respective state golf tournaments.

In class 3A, the Demons finished seventh in the nine team field with a 663 team score. Central DeWitt won the state title with a 609. Top score for the Demons came from Jacob Van Osdol at 161, tying for 25th. Other scores for the Demons included Brock Sobaski in 30th with a 162, Dalton Myers 37th with a 169, Brady Knutson 39th with a 171, Caleb Tanner 50th with a 183 and Mitchell Driscoll 57th with a 188.

Winfield-Mt. Union finished in fourth place in the team race in class 1A with a 701 score. Grundy Center won the title with a 683. The Wolves were led by individual state runner-up Kaleb Hagge with his round of 148. Other scores for the Wolves included Nolan Ross 14th with a 170, Jarod Kadel 32nd with a 182, Noah Freeman 53rd with a 201, Jacob Kongable 60th with a 219 and Brady Loyd 61st with a 225.
