Good things come to those who wait. Now the wait is over.

The Washington girls soccer team scored their first victory in nearly three calendar years Monday with a 10-0 mercy rule victory over Centerville on the road. The win stops a 43 match losing streak for the program. Washington was last the victor on May 15th of 2015 with a 3-1 win over Columbus. The Demons were led in the victory over the Redettes by Halle Leyden’s four goals. Bailey Bryant scored a pair while Brandi Medrano, Alexis Edwards, Abby Voss and Taylor Brinning each had one. Olivia Pacha recorded the clean sheet in goal. With the win, Washington is now 1-11 on the season as they get ready for Fairfield Thursday.
