The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys golf team travels to Heritage Oaks in Wapello Friday for a chance at the state tournament when they compete at the district meet.

Mid-Prairie advanced through the sectional meet with a third place team finish at Williamsburg last week, shooting 347, led by sectional champion Noah Schlabaugh with his 79. On the season, the Golden Hawks have a 343 scoring average per 18-holes led by Schlabaugh and his 78 average. Other scoring averages for the Hawks include Collin Gingerich at 89, Monte Slabaugh and Ryan Slaubaugh 91, Ryan Smit 93 and Michael Callahan 94.

Joining Mid-Prairie at Wapello will be Williamsburg with their 343 scoring average. On the year the Raiders are led by Dylan Burns and Gage Blythe with 84 averages.

Central Lee will be at Wapello with their 321 scoring average led by Aaron Wills and his 80.

Wilton will be at Wapello Thursday with their 340 average paced by Nolan Leaton at 82.

Tipton will travel to Wapello with their 344 scoring average, led by Keith Penningroth with an 81 average.

West Branch joins the group at Wapello with their 342 scoring average. The Bears are led by Ted Bridges at 80.

Waterloo Columbus enters districts with a 348 mark for the season led by Charles Lorenz with an 87 average.

Cascade will also be at the district tournament with their 357 average. The Cougars are led by Race Cuckler with a 73 average.

Individual golfers from Jesup, Bellevue, Iowa City Regina, Durant, Van Buren and Mediapolis will also compete Friday. Action continues all day at Heritage Oaks in Wapello.
