The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys golf team travels to the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course Wednesday for the River Valley Conference championship meet.

The Golden Hawks enter action with a 27-11 overall record. They were winners over Durant Monday to wrap up the regular season with a 176 team score in the nine hole event. By the numbers, the Golden Hawks are the favorite for team conference gold. Mid-Prairie has a 341 team average per 18 holes, best in the entire River Valley Conference. Noah Schlabaugh leads the Hawks this year, his 78 average per 18 holes is best in the RVC south. Other scoring averages for Mid-Prairie include Collin Gingerich 88, Michael Callahan and Monte Slabaugh 90 and Ryan Slaubaugh and Ryan Smit 94. Chasing Mid-Prairie will be Tipton, Wilton and West Branch, all with 18-hole team averages of 344. Action continues all day today at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course.
