The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls track teams will be back on the oval Thursday in West Liberty for the River Valley Conference Championship meet.

The Mid-Prairie boys are coming off of a team title at Monday’s Highland Relays. The Golden Hawks posted seven championships on the night with Kyle Miller winning the high jump, Terrhyn Jacoby the 100, Peyton Miller the 800, Cary Schaefer the 200, Zach Pettit the mile, the Mid-Prairie 4×200 team of Peyton Miller, Grant Boyse, Quinn Schmidt and Adain Rath was a winner and the 4×100 team of Elmir Ganibegovic, Schaefer, Jacoby and Peyton Miller won the title.

The Mid-Prairie girls were also on the track last at the Highland Relays Monday. The Golden Hawks placed third as a team. Mid-Prairie had three championships on the night with Anna Hostetler winning the 3000, Kate Cavanagh the 800 and the 4×800 team of Cavanagh, Moriah Brase, Ana Fleming and Kessa Jones brought home the gold.

Joining Mid-Prairie tonight in West Liberty are Iowa City Regina, West Branch, West Liberty, Tipton, Durant, Wilton, North Cedar, Monticello, Northeast Goose Lake, Camanche, Bellevue and Cascade. Action begins at 4:30 at West Liberty High School.
