The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team continued their hot start to the season, beating North Cedar 11-1 in five innings in Wellman Tuesday.
Mid-Prairie scored three times in their first at bat and took control of the game with a seven run third. The Hawks finished their scoring with a single run in the fourth. The Golden Hawk offense pounded out 13 hits and Jacob Leonard drove in four to lead the attack. Brad Tornow worked three and two thirds innings to earn the win, striking out 11. The Golden Hawks are now 5-0 on the season and will travel to Monticello on Thursday.
