A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Henry County Law Enforcement Center will be held Wednesday.

The Henry County Board of Supervisors approved construction contracts for the facility on May 3rd. Midwest Construction is the contract manager for the project, for which Henry County citizens passed a $9.1 million bond in August 2017 to build the center. The approximate 24,000 square foot law enforcement center and jail will be located north of the Mount Pleasant Mental Health Institute on South Grand Avenue. The groundbreaking will be at the site at 10 a.m.
