The No. 10 ranked Iowa Mennonite School boys soccer team welcomes the No. 1 Iowa City Regina Regals to Kalona for a non-conference showdown Thursday.

IMS enters play at 9-0 on the year after a 3-1 win over Danville to clinch the outright Southeast Iowa Superconference regular season title Tuesday. On the season IMS is led by Isaiah Swantz with 10 goals, most in the Superconference. Jacob Boller leads IMS and Superconference with seven assists. In goal, Blake Bontrager has made 22 saves and has four shut outs to his credit in nine games.

Iowa City Regina enters play with an overall record of 7-1. Last game out they beat Gladbrook-Reinbeck 5-1. On the season the Regals are led by Nick Pechous with nine goals, most in the River Valley Conference. Kieler Brown has the team and conference lead with five assists. Josh Dutchik leads the Regina defense with 23 saves and four shut outs through eight games.

These teams met last year in the substate semifinals in Iowa City with Regina taking a 2-1 win. Action begins tonight at 5p.m.
