The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team will be on the diamond for the first time tonight when they travel to Letts for a Superconference showdown with Louisa-Muscatine.

A season ago, Iowa Mennonite was 14-10 overall and finished their season in the substate final. IMS hit .279 as a team led by Drake Brezina and his .402 average. Top returning hitter for IMS is Cole Ours with his .333 average. On the mound Iowa Mennonite had a sparkling team ERA of 1.88 led by Blake Bontrager with his 2-3 record in 37 innings of work with a 1.13 ERA.

Louisa-Muscatine is 2-1 on the young season, dropping their last recorded contest 7-6 to Highland on Thursday. For the season the Falcons are hitting .241 and led at the plate by Karson Cantrell at .500. On the mound L-M has a collective ERA of 1.27, led by Mason McCulley with a 1-0 record and 0.84 ERA in eight innings of work. These two teams met a season ago with IMS scoring a 4-3 win.
