The Keota Eagle baseball team scored a wild rivalry game win Friday over visiting Sigourney 18-14.

After a quick 3-0 start from Sigourney in the top of the first the Eagles responded with an 11 run bottom half to take an eight run lead. The offenses continued to pour it on from both sides. The only half inning that did not see any scoring was the bottom of the third and the seventh from both sides. Sigourney would get as close as 12-8 in the middle innings and 15-14 late but Keota found enough offense and pitching to hold on for the win. The Eagles were led by Jack Eakins with four RBI and three runs scored. Sigourney was led by Carson Crawford with four RBI on a pair of hits and two runs scored. Dustin Haines took the loss, going two thirds of an inning, allowing three hits, 11 runs, and walking six. JD Stout got the win for Keota going four innings, giving up seven hits, eight runs, walking five and striking out a pair. With the win, Keota is now 3-1 on the year, Sigourney falls to 2-1.
