A nearly quarter of a million dollar road patching project is underway in Washington County.

The Washington County Engineer’s Office announced road closures can be expected on paved county roads while crews work to patch deteriorated pavement. Roads that will have work done include Prairie Flower Road or G-26, Wayland Road or W-55, Riverside Road, Old Highway 92 or G-38, the Brighton Road or W-40, and Lexington Boulevard. During the work traffic will be reduced to one lane for periods of time and work is expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in these construction zones and pay attention to roadway signs. The work is being done by Cedar Falls Construction Co. for $221,942.60.
