Washington’s rain totals for the first three weeks of May is above normal.
According to the National Weather Service, Washington has had 4.83 inches of rain, while just over three inches is normal. The record amount for the first three weeks of May was set in 2001 at 8.68 inches. About a tenth of an inch fell in the early morning hours Monday and heavy rain is expected throughout the week.
