Saturday is the final day of the 2018 state track meet in Des Moines. These are the events on the schedule for area athletes.

The Washington boys sprint medley team of Mario Tapia, Tanner Murphy, Sawyer Whisler and Ethan Hunt will be in action. The Washington girls 4×100 team of Leah Marek, Jenah Greiner, Isabel Bailey and Hannah Anderson will compete.

The Mid-Prairie boys will have Grant Boyse, Terrhyn Jacoby, Aidan Rath and Cary Schaefer in the sprint medley. The Hawks will also have Cary Schaefer and Marshall Teets running the 800 and Zach Pettit and Floyd Evans in the 1600 and the 4×400 team of Grant Boyse, Quinn Schmidt, Cary Schaefer and Peyton Miller in the finals. For the Mid-Prairie girls Anna and Marie Hostetler will both compete in the 800 and 1500 while the Golden Hawk sprint medley relay team of Maddie Edgington, Cassidy Rourke, Amber Swart and Abbagail Evans will be on the track.

Iowa Mennonite’s Levi Geyer will compete in the mile.

Highland’s Emily Yahnke will compete in the finals of the 100m dash. The 4×100 team for the Huskies of Sarah Schneider, Aly Stokes, Kristy Thomann and Emily Yahnke will be on the track for finals.

Lone Tree’s Brock Smith will run the 800

The WACO boys will have the sprint medley team of Calvin Battle Jr., Drew Kissell, Colton Horak and Elijah McGohan on the track.

Winfield-Mt. Union’s Cecilia Hemsworth will compete in the 800 and Brandon Snowden will compete in the finals of 200m dash.

The Sigourney girls shuttle hurdle relay team of Autum and Summer Barthelman, Leah Carter and Sloane Magill will be in the finals. Autum Barthelman will also run in the finals of the 100m dash and 100m hurdles. The Sigourney 4×100 team of Summer Barthelman Brooke Waechter, Heidi Clarahan and Autum Barthelman will run in the finals Saturday.
