The Washington County Riverboat Foundation will be awarding grants to area non-profits at their annual spring ceremony Thursday evening.

In the fall over $1 million was awarded across 33 grants, and last spring $1,632,757 was awarded to 46 grants. Area non-profit organizations and governmental units like cities and schools are able to apply each cycle for these competitive grants, which focus on community development and beautification, economic development, education and arts, or human and social needs. The Foundation’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. followed by the grant distribution at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort Events Center.
