The U.S. Postal Service will be collecting food donations for Stamp Out Hunger.

The annual food drive will take place Saturday in Washington. Residents can place non-perishable food donations in a bag and leave it near their mailbox. The donations will be collected by letter carriers and then delivered to local food pantries. The food stays in the local community. Recommended donations include pasta, cereal, peanut butter, oatmeal, and canned goods. Avoid food in glass containers.
