The Iowa High School State Track and Field Meet continues in day two competition today and the KCII area already has champions.

In day one action Marie Hostetler of Mid-Prairie became the champion in the 3000 and Anna Hostetler placed third. From the Mid-Prairie boys’ team Floyd Evans is a state champion in the 3200 and the 4×800 team is the state runner-up. From Highland, Emily Yahnke is the state champion in long jump and advances to the finals in the 100. Brandon Snowden is advancing to the finals in the 200 for Winfield-Mt. Union. The Sigourney girls’ shuttle hurdle relay team placed first in the prelims and has qualified for finals, also Autum Barthelman will compete in the 100 finals after placing fifth in the preliminary round.
