With Washington students now officially on summer break, they can take part in the Summer Classic’s Family Day Friday.

The day includes a bounce house in Central Park, a readmob around the square, and a free swim at the Steele Family Aquatic Center from 1-5 p.m. Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis shares what will be happening Friday evening in Central Park, “We have a lot of different activities down at the square during the day. And then at night we have a beverage tent, we have some food vendors, Main Street Washington is doing their shrimp boil. We have three different live bands that night, so we’re really excited about that new addition. And then we also have Movie on Main, and it’ll be The Princess and the Frog for the Mardi Gras theme.” The Movie on Main is free to the public and there will be complimentary popcorn, just remember to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

The Summer Classic runs Thursday through Sunday with Ag Day, Family Day, Ridiculous Day, and wraps up with the Latino Festival Sunday in Central Park.
