The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team won their third match in a row Friday, beating Keokuk 4-2 in Wellman.

Mid-Prairie took an early 1-0 lead, only to see the Chiefs equalize midway through the first half. The Golden Hawks found the back of the net once more before half to take a 2-1 lead into the break. Out of the half, Mid-Prairie owned possession, posted a pair of insurance goals and locked things down defensively to finish the win. With his three goals, Mid-Prairie’s Ashton VanWinkle is now fifth in Iowa in class 2A with 15 goals scored on the season. Mid-Prairie is now 5-4 on the year and travels to Mediapolis Thursday.
