The Washington Demon boys and girls soccer teams are back on the pitch Thursday for a Southeast Conference showdown with the Keokuk Chiefs.

The Demon boys enter the match with a 5-3 overall record, winners of back-to-back 1-0 games over Mediapolis and Columbus. On the season Washington is led by Caleb Suchan with six goals, seventh most in the Southeast Conference. Julio Salgado has the team lead with three assists. In goal, the Demon defense is led by Thomas Zimmer with 39 saves, third most in the league.

Keokuk enters tonight in search of their first win on the season. The Chiefs fell to Mount Pleasant Monday 9-0. Jamin Klose leads Keokuk on the year with seven goals, fourth most in the Southeast Conference. Tristan Kirk leads the Chiefs with a pair of assists. In goal, Keokuk has Corbin Griffin with 49 saves, most in the Southeast Conference. Washington won the previous meeting between the two schools this year 3-1.

The Washington girls enter tonight’s match with the Chiefs looking for their first win of the campaign. Last time out the Demons were beaten by Oskaloosa 5-0 Monday. On the year the Demons are led by Abby Voss and Jessica Hora with one goal each. In goal, Olivia Pacha leads the conference with 79 saves. These two teams met to open the season with the Chiefs taking a 2-1 victory.

The Washington boys kick things off at 4p.m. at Washington High School for Senior Night, The Demon girls start at 5:30 tonight at Keokuk.
