Oven-fresh baked goods, spring vegetables, succulents, and handmade crafts will all be for sale Thursday in Washington’s Central Park.

The 30th year of the Washington Farmers’ Market kicks off at 5 p.m. Market Master Bob Shepherd, who has been involved since 1988, shares what consumers will see for sale in the early markets, “Early markets are rhubarb, asparagus, your lettuces, radishes, that’s predominately what you see at the early markets, your spring produce.” There will also be food trucks on the square taking part. Shepherd adds everything is local and the motto for vendors is “Make it, bake it, or grow it.” Those interested in being a vendor should contact Shepherd or Main Street Washington. The market is held every Thursday in Central Park 5-7:30 p.m. until mid-October.
