The Washington seventh grade girls track team competed last week in Burlington. The Demons were team runners-up with 98 points.

Fairfield won the team title with 170 points. The Demons had one championship event on the day with the 4×400 team of Alecia Goff, Grace Voss, Kaylin Long and Makenna Conrad taking gold in 4:54.47. Other top finishes for Washington included second place for Molly Klinzman in the 200, second for the distance medley of Klinzman, Emilie Burciaga, Conrad and Voss, and second for the 4×800 team of Goff, Anna Collett, Gracey Simmering and Long. Alex Murphy was third in the shot put, Ally Rees third in the discus, Conrad third in the long jump, Ava Wulf third in the 200 hurdles, the 4×200 team of Kenializ Espinosa, Burciaga, Samantha Hunger and Wulf was third and the sprint medley team of Simmering, Burciaga, Espinosa and Conrad took third.
