The Cardinal Comets scored a Superconference softball win at Iowa Mennonite Wednesday 15-5 in five innings.

In a game heard on KCII, each team had a scoring chance in their first at bat with the Comets stranding the bases loaded and IMS leaving on a pair but it was Cardinal that broke through in the second with three runs on four hits and from there they were off to the races, scoring twice in the third, three times in the fourth and seven runs in the fifth to finish the game early. IMS got within 5-4 with their own four run outburst in the third but would get no closer. Hannah Harris took the loss in the circle for IMS, giving up 20 hits, 15 runs and striking out three. At the plate Rubye Ney and Avery Blauvelt were both two for three with a run scored and an RBI. With the loss, IMS falls to 1-9 on the year. They will play at Lone Tree Thursday.
