Temperatures in the 90s caused a pavement blow up in Washington County this week.

According to Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius, there was one blow up on 305th Street west of Crawfordsville. Crews cleaned up the broken pieces Monday evening and are temporarily patching the road. Traffic was not significantly impacted by the incident. Thorius says a cost estimate for permanent repairs will be determined with other blow ups from earlier this month. Temporary patches were put on Ginkgo Avenue and Wayland Road, as well as permanent patching on 250th Street southwest of Washington in the last month.
