The Washington Demon and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball teams are ready for the next chapter in their rivalry Wednesday night when they face off at the Washington softball complex.

The Demons enter play with an overall record of 9-17. Last time out Washington swept Fairfield Monday in a pair of one run games 2-1 and 3-2. On the season, Washington is hitting .320, led by Kellie Dallmeyer with a .449 average. In the circle the Demons have a team ERA of 5.30, led by Molly Sparks with a 4.82 ERA in 74 innings with a 3-9 record.

Mid-Prairie enters play with an overall record of 3-16. Last time out they were beaten by Bellevue 5-2. On the year the Golden Hawks are hitting .268 as a team, led by Rylee Vercande with a .373 average. In the circle Mid-Prairie has a team ERA of 2.80, led by Cassidy Rourke with a 3-11 record and 2.53ERA in 74 innings. These two teams met a year ago with Washington scoring a 7-2 win in Kalona.
