Those who stop by downtown Washington to visit Ridiculous Day festivities Saturday can also swing by the courthouse and cast their ballot for the June primary.

The Washington County Auditor’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for early voting. Residents will have to select a Republican, Democratic, or Libertarian ballot. Iowa law allows eligible people to vote and cast a ballot on election day, but they must provide proof of identity and residency at their polling place. Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer recommends registering ahead of election day at the auditor’s office to avoid delays by filling out registration paperwork at polling places. Listen to KCII Tuesday evening for area primary results.
