The Washington Police Department will soon be without two officers who have uncovered more than $1 million in drugs during their tenure and they each have four paws.

It was recently announced that Ultro will follow Rex into retirement, along with handler Brett Sorrells. Before Ultro and Sorrells retire the department would like to have a new K-9 officer in the ranks with Officer Seth Adam as the next K-9 handler.

In order to get another K-9 and have the six-week training course the department needs to raise $22,000. The fund has already received a $1,000 donation from Wal-Mart. Donations may be dropped off at the police station or mailed, or an officer can be sent to your home or business to pick it up.
