The Iowa Mennonite School baseball and softball teams hit the road Wednesday for a doubleheader at Mediapolis.

The Iowa Mennonite baseball team enters tonight hot, at 12-6 on the year, they have won six in a row. On Monday they beat Wapello on the road 4-3. This season IMS is hitting .273, led by Eli Ours with his .400 average. On the hill this year IMS has a team ERA of 3.18, led by Drew Blauvelt with a 3-0 record in 18 innings with a 0.78 ERA. Mediapolis comes into the game with an overall record of 16-5. They beat Louisa-Muscatine Monday 7-0. On the year the Bulldogs are hitting .344 as a team, led by Levi Eberhardt with a .463 average. On the mound MEPO has a team ERA of 2.40 led by Brennan Breuer with a 4-1 record and 2.12 ERA in 29 innings. These two teams met a year ago with Mediapolis taking a 5-2 win.

The IMS softball team comes into the contest with an overall record of 1-14 after a loss to Wapello on Monday. IMS is hitting .256 as a team on the year, led by Avery Blauvelt at .405. In the circle, IMS has a team ERA of 7.69 and due to injury will be without leading pitcher Hannah Harris the rest of the season. The next leading pitcher for IMS is Leah Bontrager with a 4.50 ERA in five innings. Mediapolis comes into the game with an overall record of 0-21. Last time out they lost to Keokuk 20-4. On the year the Bullettes are hitting .182, led by Catie Messer with a .283 average. In the circle MEPO has a team ERA of 11.47, led by Olivia Moehle with an 0-16 record and 10.46 ERA in 79 innings. These two teams met a year ago with MEPO taking an 11-7 win. Action in both doubleheaders begins at one Wednesday afternoon at Mediapolis.
