The Iowa Mennonite School baseball and softball teams are back on the diamond at home Monday against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons.

The IMS baseball team enters play at 6-6 on the year after an 11-0 loss to Central Lee Friday night. On the season IMS is hitting .265, led by Eli Ours hitting .333. IMS has a team ERA of 4.34, led by Drew Blauvelt with a 2-0 record and 0.64 ERA.

Louisa-Muscatine enters play with an overall record of 7-8. Last time out they lost to Highland 5-2 on Friday. The Falcons are hitting .275 on the year, led by Karson Cantrell hitting .457. On the mound L-M has a team ERA of 3.74, led by Keaton Velez with a 1-1 record and 1.34 ERA in 15 innings. These two teams met to open the season with L-M scoring a 4-2 win in Letts.

The Iowa Mennonite softball team comes into tonight’s game with a mark of 1-10 on the season. They lost at Central Lee 9-7 on Friday. For the year, IMS is hitting .244 as a team, led by Avery Blauvelt and her .400 average. In the circle IMS has a team ERA of 7.11 led by Hannah Harris and her 1-9 record and 6.07 ERA in 60 innings of work.

L-M comes into tonight’s game with a 21-4 overall record. They are ranked No. 5 in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union for class 2A. Last time out they split a pair of games in the Oskaloosa tournament over the weekend, beating Fairfield 6-4 but losing to No. 2 in class 3A Albia 3-2. On the season the Falcons are hitting .361, led by Kylee Sanders with a .512 average. In the circle Louisa-Muscatine has a team ERA of 1.53, led by Isabelle True with a 10-2 record and 1.51 ERA in 74 innings. These two teams met earlier this year with L-M taking a 7-0 win. Action begins tonight at 5:30 following the JV games in Kalona.
