Following rains over the weekend, the Iowa River in the KCII-listening area saw water levels rise Monday morning.

The Iowa River near Lone Tree rose 1.5 feet to 8.13 feet from Sunday to Monday. The flood stage there is 15 feet. At Columbus Junction it rose nearly 1.7 feet to just over 14 feet, still five feet below flood stage. During that time period the flow of the water increased from about 9,000 cubic feet per second to about 14,500 CFS.
