Early Sunday morning a juvenile was taken to detention after an incident late Saturday night in Washington.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 11:42 p.m. dispatch was notified of two people coming into a backyard in the 700 block of East 2nd Street and jumping in a tent in an attempt to scare people. According to the office, one possibly had a gun. The subjects ran from the yard when the caller’s father went outside. One male juvenile was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and juvenile probation arranged for transportation to detention. Names of those involved were not released.
