One person was killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Keokuk County Monday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol at 3:21 p.m. a semi and a car collided at Highway 78 and 315th Avenue just south of Richland. The car failed to yield from a stop sign and was struck by the semi. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to the Keokuk County Hospital. Names of those involved have not been released. Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Transportation, and Richland Fire and EMS. The accident remains under investigation.
