Kalona City Council Passes New Refuse Service Rates

Description: Washington HACAP and Mercy Iowa City, in partnership with United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties is organizing its first annual Thanksgiving in July food drive from July 8-22 by area businesses, civic and faith-based organizations as well as interested individuals. All food and funds donated will go directly to the HACAP Food Pantry in Washington and will be distributed to individuals and families in need of assistance throughout Washington County. Description: Louisa County is planning an arts festival to be held September 29 and is inviting artists to display and sell their art at the the Wapello High School or the Youth Center at the Louisa County Fairgrounds. Artists are also invited to enter the juried art show which will be held at the Morning Sun Community Center with cash prizes awarded. Deadline for entering the juried art show is July 15 and the deadline for registering to exhibit art is August 13.
