A few rain showers fell across the KCII-listening area Thursday.

Washington had one inch of rain. According to the National Weather Service, in the first two weeks of June temperatures have been above normal with precipitation below normal overall. The average maximum temperature in Washington the last two weeks was 84.4 degrees, above the normal 79.5 degrees. Precipitation has been about half of the normal 2.18 inches. Daily high temperatures are expected to be in the mid-90’s this weekend and into early next week, with heat index values up to 105 degrees Saturday and Sunday. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
