Washington County Clover University had record attendance at the recent Progressive Agriculture Safety Day.

Washington County Extension held the event June 1st at the Washington County Fairgrounds and 98 kindergarten through third grade youth took part as part of the Clover University schedule. Participants learned about equipment pinch points, disability awareness, general first aid, ATV safety, grain safety, kitchen safety, stranger safety, and dog bite prevention. Speakers came from PAWS and More, Washington City Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, WCDC, Sinclair Tractor, Washington County Hospital and Clinics, and the Washington County Corn Growers.
