After three years leading the Washington Community School District, Superintendent Jeff Dicks attended his final school board meeting with the Demons Wednesday.

Dicks announced earlier this year that he’d accepted an offer at another district and would be leaving Washington by the end of June. School board president Eric Turner concluded the meeting by saying thank you, “Before we wrap we need to also thank Mr. Dicks for his three years with us, and his positive leadership he brought to the school district and the community. We wish him well.” Dicks still has one more school board meeting with WACO. William Stone will be the next superintendent of Washington and the shared superintendent agreement with Washington and WACO is not continuing. Stone will be in the district starting next week.
