The Washington Demon softball team will look to avenge a road sweep from earlier this season tonight when they face off against conference Mount Pleasant.

After giving the first game away with two outs in the seventh and losing game two by five runs, the double-header against the Panthers earlier this year sparked a lot of change in Coach Ben Obermann’s mind, including moving Kellie Dallmeyer to the leadoff spot, putting Megan Mitchell in the outfield, and moving Halle Leyden in to play second base.

With those changes in place, the Demons have been on fire.  They’ve won their last five home games, including an upset victory on Tuesday night over the defending 2A state champion Iowa City Regina.  10 of the Demons’ 12 wins on the year have come at home.

They’ll look to keep up that home success tonight against Mount Pleasant.  First pitch of that double-header is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
